RESEARCH

The ability to not just provide excellent care, but to improve the standard of care is important to my aspirational identity as a future ophthalmologist.

PRESENTATIONS

It is important to me to communicate research in a way that gets others as interested and excited as I am

  • Funfact: In a 48-hour period I had my first, second, and third podium presentation ever!
  • Funfact: Just before my first presentation I realized I was sitting next to the field’s expert in that rare genetic condition!

AWARDS

  • I won two presentation awards during my research year
  • Pictured right: Myself (Best Scientific Paper Presented by a Fellow) and Turner Wibbelsman (Best Scientific Paper Presented by a Resident) at the Wills Eye Conference
  • At Atlantic Coast Retina Club I was awarded Best Trainee Presentation

LARGEST CROWD

  • At NANOS 2025 I presented a Walsh Case to an audience of several hundred people
  • I still get nervous before every single presentation, some more than others!
